New Music – The Steeldrivers

As a big Chris Stapleton fan, I'm surprised I didn't know about this before today, when "Where Rainbows Never Die" popped up in my queue in Spotify.

The Steeldrivers are a bluegrass band out of Nashville. Apparently Stapleton was their lead singer before he quit in 2010. I recommend listening to their entire discography. With and without Stapleton, founding member Mike Henderson, their music is outstanding.

They won a Grammy for "The Muscle Shoals Recordings."

I also really enjoyed "Ghosts of Mississippi" and "Bad For You" (though I think this last one would have been incredible with Stapleton as lead singer).

Anyhow, a nice set of new tunes for your weekend. Enjoy!
